Residential Rear Extension
The Brief
Structural design for a single-storey rear extension to a terraced property in London. The project involved the removal of the existing rear wall and installation of a steel box frame to support the roof, rear elevation and first floor structure above.
The design included a steel box frame spanning the full width of the property, with associated connection details coordinated with the contractor. A new roof structure and trimming for a rooflight was designed to integrate with the existing building.
Coordination with the architect and contractor ensured efficient installation and minimal disruption. Building Control approval was achieved on first submission.
