Project Overview
The Brief
Design of a new floor structure and steel beams to support a dormer extension to a semi-detached property in Watford. The project required careful consideration of the existing roof structure and load paths through the building.
The structural design included a steel ridge beam, new floor joists, and strengthening of the existing ceiling structure to form the new loft floor.
A full set of calculations and drawings was prepared for Building Control approval, with all information provided in a format suitable for direct use by the contractor.
