Who we are

Frame Modus Engineering is a structural engineering consultancy based in Watford, Hertfordshire. We provide structural design, calculations, and technical support for residential and small commercial developments.

If you have questions about this privacy policy or how we handle your data, you can contact us at info@framemodus.co.uk.

What data we collect

When you submit our contact form, we collect the following information:

  • Your name
  • Email address
  • Phone number (optional)
  • Project type (residential, commercial, or other)
  • Which service you are interested in
  • Your message describing your project

We only collect this information when you choose to submit the form. We do not collect data from visitors who simply browse the site.

How we use your data

We use the information you provide through the contact form solely to respond to your enquiry and discuss your project. We will not use your data for marketing purposes unless you specifically ask us to keep you informed about our services.

The legal basis for processing your data is your consent (by submitting the form) and our legitimate interest in responding to business enquiries.

How your data is stored and transmitted

All form submissions are transmitted securely over HTTPS (encrypted in transit). Our contact form is processed by Netlify Forms, which stores submissions in their secure infrastructure. Netlify acts as a data processor on our behalf.

We retain form submissions for as long as needed to respond to your enquiry and for our legitimate business records, in accordance with Netlify’s data retention policy. You can request deletion of your data at any time (see your rights below).

Third-party services

This website uses a small number of third-party services. Each may process limited data as described below:

jsDelivr CDN

We load JavaScript libraries (animation and scrolling tools) from jsDelivr, a public content delivery network. When your browser requests these files, jsDelivr may log your IP address and user agent as part of standard CDN operations.

Google Maps

Our contact page includes an embedded Google Maps widget to show our location. When this map loads, Google may collect your IP address, browser information, and set cookies. If you are signed into a Google account, Google may associate this data with your account. Google’s privacy policy applies to this data collection.

Google reCAPTCHA

Our contact form uses Google reCAPTCHA to prevent spam submissions. reCAPTCHA may collect your IP address, browser and device information, mouse movements, and browsing behaviour to determine whether you are a human visitor. This data is processed by Google under their privacy policy.

Netlify (hosting)

This website is hosted on Netlify. Netlify processes standard server logs (IP address, user agent, pages visited) as part of delivering the website. Netlify also processes and stores contact form submissions on our behalf.

Cookies

This website does not set any first-party cookies. However, third-party services embedded on this site may set their own cookies:

  • Google Maps may set cookies when the map on our contact page loads
  • Google reCAPTCHA may set cookies when our contact form is displayed

We also store a simple preference in your browser’s local storage to remember whether you have accepted the cookie notice. This is not a cookie and is only accessible by this website.

You can control and delete cookies through your browser settings. Blocking third-party cookies may affect the functionality of the embedded map and contact form spam protection.

Your rights under UK GDPR

Under the UK General Data Protection Regulation, you have the following rights regarding your personal data:

  • Right of access — you can request a copy of the personal data we hold about you
  • Right to rectification — you can ask us to correct any inaccurate data
  • Right to erasure — you can ask us to delete your personal data
  • Right to restrict processing — you can ask us to limit how we use your data
  • Right to data portability — you can request your data in a commonly used, machine-readable format
  • Right to object — you can object to our processing of your personal data

These rights are not absolute and may be subject to certain conditions. To exercise any of these rights, please contact us at info@framemodus.co.uk. We will respond within one month.

How to make a data request

To request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data, email us at info@framemodus.co.uk with the subject line “Data request”. Please include enough information for us to identify which enquiry or data you are referring to.

If you are not satisfied with how we handle your request, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.
